A message of thanks of behalf of Linda
Dear all at the forum I am Natalie, Linda's daughter. My mum sadly lost her battle on the 22nd of December. But this message is more of thanks to you all. She always spoke of the support she got from everyone here, and the friends she made. You all managed to keep her spirits up and her heart filled...

new regime
I went to talk yesterday - I say talk, but I feel so low at the moment I couldn't help but break down crying. I went to see my Oncologist yesterday with the main focus being on the injection I had last Thursday which I didn't feel has worked to bring the pain under control as the pain is still there...

Re: Clexane - possible alternative?
Hi Steve, Is this Clexane taken for DVT? I am on Dalteparin long term - in fact for the rest of my life - as my Oncologist said DVT is one of the side affects which comes with Pancreatic Cancer. I have to inject my thighs and they are both in a terrible state because of the injections, so if there i...

Re: Worse now than before I had the Celiac Nerve Block Injec
Thanks for your reply Mike.
I go to see my Oncologist this afternoon. If I need this procedure again, I am going to demand an anaesthetic. No-way can I go through that again unless I'm knocked out.

Worse now than before I had the Celiac Nerve Block Injection
Hi Everyone. I had the Nerve Block injection on Thursday, the details I will skip over, but it wasn't pleasant. I nearly collapsed when I received the letter from the hospital which said I will be taking the injection via a tube down my throat.....enough said there. The doctor was very kind and trie...

Re: Still waiting for injection to kill Celaic Nerve
The hospital phoned me Monday just gone saying could I come for my Nerve Block Injection tomorrow - Tuesday. Most certainly I can. Be there for 12.30 no food 6 hours before and someone will have to be with me to take me home, so hubby took the day off. We arrived 12.30 as instructed ready, willing a...

It had to be done so I did it
I suppose it helps knowing the receptionist at the funeral directors so I knew I could ask about arranging my funeral and not come away completely confused. Actually he came to me and put me at ease straight away. In fact he laughed when I said "For goodness sake don't drop me as you're carrying me ...

Re: I am furious.
And so it goes on all over the country. Just reading all your posts which seem to go from mild help with various aspects of PC to down right neglect and floating through the system as though we have all the time in the world. It's downright ridiculous. My own experiences have really called into ques...

Re: Still waiting for injection to kill Celaic Nerve
WOW thank you so much, you've all given me ideas to which if I do not hear from the hospital today, I am going to put into place. I have actually been in touch with my MP with regard to other matters to do with my cancer and I must admit he was straight there for me and okay, whilst I didn't get wha...

Still waiting for injection to kill Celaic Nerve
Goodness I cannot even begin to explain to you how much pain I was in last Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The pain in my back is constant, it's very much like a noise that would be in the background, always there, but on Saturday morning it suddenly became much worse though I do not know why. I didn't...

Re: Heidelberg University Hospital
Oh Holly, I've only just read your message and so sorry the operation was unsuccessful. Though like you say, if you don't try these chances you are given, you'll never know what could have been. Okay, well one door has closed, but a multitude of others are now opening. Thank you so much for keeping ...
