Hi Anne good to hear from you, and that youre doing so well :D Im not sure what to do realy about second opinion. It feels a bit like hobsons choice to have surgery and long recovery etc or carry on monitoring and have surgery later. realy scared they wont catch it before it changes and becomes stag...

after being seen at regional specialist centre, are patients able to request a second opinion from a different specialist centre of thir choice??

Ive been for scan results this week. gallbladder shows no stones and function is normal. main pancreas duct shows 'concerning' dilation for full length and ipmn at head of pancreas, which they feel could account for transient symptoms in gallbladder...pain/nausea and dark urine with itchy skin. this...

Im so sorry to hear your tragic news...yes much more research needs to be done. this disease devastates families in a short space of time. Im sure you have the thoughts of everyone on this forum. keep posting, in some small way it may help you through this awfull time.x

hi jeni no they didnt elaborate realy. essentially my pain from pancreas seems to have been masking pain in the are of gallbladder. so after i had the nerves cut with bits procedure, the pain hadnt gone, but weirdly seems to have moved accross to area of gallbladder/liver and bile duct!my original s...

hi everyone. things have changed a lot since my last post. ive had surgery to reduce pain levels but no resections etc. been monitored since then but they now suspect involvment of bile duct and gallbladder so have to have new scans and look at options again.
