Re: Much loved memorial site
The memorial site has certainly helped me come to terms with losing our dear Dad and as others have said reading the lovely things that people I didn't really know have said about him has been such a comfort. It makes me cry every time I go and look but it's a wonderful thing to have and helping to ...

Re: My husbands pancreatic cancer situation
So very sorry to hear this awful news, my thoughts and hugs go out to you.
One small comfort you must take is that he is no longer in pain and at peace.
Take care of yourself.

Re: My Dad
Hi All, just thought I'd update you with a little bit of good news. Through the memorial page and via the funeral directors the charity is now over £130 better off. Mum is doing pretty well considering and we are just about coping. Let's hope that through continued support this awful cancer can even...

Re: My Dad
I can only echo what Steve has said to praise you all for your kind support during the hardest time of our lives. I created a memorial page for Dad via this site where lots of people have already posted some lovely things and a donation or two as well. http://david.smith.muchloved.com/frame.aspx?df=...

Re: My Dad
Sadly Dad lost his battle earlier this morning.
We spent the day with him yesterday as we were told he only had hours, but he battled on and passed away around 8am today.
We are all devastated as you can imagine.

Bit more good news, Dad is now sitting up in a chair and finally eating a little!
Let's hope he will be able to come home soon.

Re: My Dad
Bigger setback now. Dad has been admitted to hospital after becoming increasingly weak to the point where he couldn't even get out of his chair to go to the toilet. Poor Mum has been doing her best but at almost 82 it's a struggle for her. Currently he is waiting for a bed on an antiboitic drip (for...

Re: My Dad

Re: My Dad
Dad has now had 3 sessions, had to miss one as he had a chest infection.
He is feeling very tired now, and his appetite is still not good but is keeping strong and determined.

Re: My Dad
Dad's first session isn't until this afternoon. I am at work thinking about it constantly, probably making all sorts of mistakes too. :!: They gave Dad a nice new thermometer at the information session so Mum said she will make sure they check his temp daily (is that enough?) Thanks once again for a...

This forum is so good for morale, really makes a difference.
I know every patient responds differently to the treatments, but we are very hopeful.
Thanks so much for all the advice, it means so much to us all.
