Hi Lynne,
just had a look at the memorial page and think it is a great idea. Good place for all the family and friends to remember the happier times in our lives. When I get my head round this crap ! I will set one up for Heather

Be there for him as much as possible - even when he is sleepy with the meds talk to him he will hear you. You are his support and the family will take th...

Re: my wife
Hi all, I haven't been able to come onto the forums for some time - find it hard to get through every day without Heather. I went back to work 2 weeks after Heather passed, i just couldn't sit in the house, and I think it has been a big help talking and dealing with issues in work - it takes your mi...

Re: my wife
Hi all, Heather has gone. She just had enough, and got weaker as the days passed her by in Hospice. She passed peacefully on Sunday morning in her sleep, with us by her side. She had been sleeping for 2 days. I find it hard to describe how I feel , glad she has no more suffering but my heart is broke...

Re: my wife
Thanks all for your kind words and support. I think this fourm is a good way to let off a bit of steam, and there will always be a supportive reply. I have always been the type of person who very rarely shows or talks about his feeling. Typical man I hear you all say lol. Heather was admitted to the...

Re: my wife
Hi all, Heather had the blood transfusion last week and it hasn't made a bit of a difference. We had 2 appointments today , surgical and oncologist consultants - both said the same thing, the cancer is causing the fatigue and the MST is adding to it but it is giving her a better quality of life. Som...

chemo failed - whats next
Hi all, Do any of you know what is offered after gemceptibine and capceptibine have failed to work. Heathers tumors have grown after 6 months of chemo, 3 months of both the above chemo. We have an appointment with the oncologist on Monday next week and I'm looking for questions to ask him regarding ...

Re: my wife
We've had a busy few days. Heathers brother came home from England to see her for the weekend, it gave her a bit of a boost to see him again and he has promised to return in a few weeks. Gives Heather something to look forward too. Jade our daughter has her upper sixth year formal in a fee weeks als...

Re: MY MUM
Just been reading your posts and I can connect all your Mums symptoms to that of my wifes ( Heather ). All that is apart from the psychological bit, I don't think I could cope with that one. I also relate to your feelings, its hard to see a loved one in so much pain and failing so much. Heather has ...

Re: End stage and Ascites
I have never heard of ascites but I have noticed Heathers stomach swollen over the last day or so. I have asked her did she think it was , but she said no. I don't want to worry her about it but it us bigger than normal. She is due at cancer centre on Monday for bloods and possible transfusion so I'...

Re: Tumor Markers
Sounds like good news for your dad Rachel and for bri Laura. Fingers crossed they both continue to get stronger and have a chance to beat this. Markers have never been mentioned during Heathers treatments, so that was all new info for me, but good to know. Heather has been fighting this from her whi...

Re: my wife
I sent this clinic an email asking for more detail regarding cancer treatment. The reply was very informative with links to other sites but the treatment was mad. You'd need to change your entire lifestyle with an intense 8 weeks of treatments then another 8 weeks less intense. It all sounds good an...
