Re: Thanx Very Much Coronation Street ....

I always thought, and still do think, that it was great that Corrie publicised PC, and for that I thank them. I do not understand why on earth they would then sensationalise it with euthanasia. It was not necessary to do that, and it took the whole emphasis of PC away from the plot line. It will now...

Re: 2 years without mum and how I have dealt losing her

Bee, I am sorry for your loss of your husband, such a young age! Your children must be quite young too, mine are 9, 7 and 5, my youngest doesn't really remember her Nanny, although we talk about her often and have photos etc. Does your children's school do bereavement counselling? Mine did, and my e...

Re: 2 years without mum and how I have dealt losing her

Hi Marie You are very much still in the early days of grief, where everything is so raw, and the darkness is all encompassing. People do deal differently with grief, and there is no right or wrong way, it is individual. I don't know your story, I will take the time to read your blog, but for me, at ...

2 years without mum and how I have dealt losing her

Hi everyone, to old friends and new Two years have now passed since my mum was taken from us. A lot has happened in what seems like a very short space of time. Good things and bad things, a friend of mine lost her daughter to PC last summer, she was only 37, life is so very very cruel. I have tried ...

Re: What now???

I cannot bear people who troll their views, in such a cruel and barbaric manner. If he wants to live with his head in the sand, then that is up to him, but to place these idiotic and dangerous opinions that chemo/radiation and surgery are doing more harm than good is not only ridiculous but a real k...

the posts from Stephen100

After viewing posts from this user, that have been dotted about the forum pages, I just wanted to send my thoughts to all the families who are going through the terrible battle of this disease. I realise everyone is entitled to their own opinions but to push their views on already vulnerable people ...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hi, When my mum had her stent fitted, it took a few days, if not a week for her to get her appetite back, all the toxins need to drain from her body and she will feel pretty lousy for a few days, until the jaundice has all gone. I don't know a great deal about the diabetes side, as mum didn't suffer...

Re: Newly Diagnosed

Hi, Firstly I am sorry to hear of your sad news. I lost my mum nearly 18 months ago. Looking back, I was the same, wanting to know when the end is coming. As hard as this will sound, try to stay in the here and now. Yes you need to do everything you can to help your mum, make your mum feel comfortab...

Re: my husband of 2 weeks with weeks to live

Dear Mandy What an absolutely awful time you are both having. I am so very sorry for your husband's diagnosis. You are right, pc is such a cruel disease, it makes me so angry. Sadly it seems that the hospitals let themselves and the patients down time and time again. One hand doesn't know what the o...

hello

Hi everyone, new and old friends, I hope that you are all well, (as best as you can be), I haven't been online for a fair time, it got too hard and difficult looking at the posts, and rather selfishly I needed to take myself away for a while. It's almost 18 months since my mum passed, a lot has happ...

Wow, what a truly inspirational story. I thought that I read the title wrong at first, such a young age. You have been through an horrendous time, and endured countless medical problems, but you are here, living your life. How wonderful. I hope the future is kind to you, and I hope that your story h...
