Re: Really confused

Hi Barbara, So sorry to hear you're husband is still in hospital and feeling low - it's no wonder that you feel you are struggling. Things have moved at a terrifying pace for you both. My dad during his Whipples and for 3 months afterwards for various reasons was at a hospital over 50 miles away and...

Re: Mum just diagnosed

Hi Fiona, Sorry to hear about your mum - I agree with others that this is a really difficult time when you're 'waiting' and trying not to get ahead of yourself, almost trying to 'prepare' yourself for bad news but also stay really hopeful. Will keep my fingers crossed that tomorrow goes well - do ma...

Oh Nicki that is such sad news.

You have been such an inspirational team and beat the odds to have so much more time together than they predicted. All my love and thoughts are with you

Re: Really confused

Hi Barbara, Glad your husband is getting some help. Really sorry to hear the news though - sometimes I think 'knowing' what's coming doesn't mitigate against the shock and being scared about what's to come. I would just say though that sometimes the pain management can be very effective and given yo...

Re: Really confused

Hi Barbara, Very sorry to hear about your husband. I can understand how scared, confused and angry you must be feeling. Just wanted to reiterate Louie's advice really - the lack of consultation in general and progress with having a stent is absolutely unacceptable. When my dad had quite bad jaundice...

Re: A very difficult Mother's Day

Hi Louie, It's no wonder that it was such a difficult day and torn between your lovely little ones and memories of your mum and the knowledge that she is gone. I am dreading father's day in June and my dad has been gone 6 months this coming Monday - I can imagine that each time you saw a tv advert i...

Re: Ted - an update

Hi Nicki, Sorry to hear about Ted's ascites. I know it's hard not to think it's the 'beginning of the end' but like you say - 'we live in hope'. Try not to spend your days worrying - stay as strong and as positive as you can. I'm sure his denial may be a positive thing for him. Thinking of you - fin...

Re: Louiepc

Hi Louie,

Also just wanted to send your my thoughts for today. I was strangely intensely nervous before for my dad's funeral. I think even if I hadn't have been speaking I still would have been as nervous. I hope it's a comfort to you in some way.

Re: My Amazing Dad

hi, I'm so sorry that you have just lost your father. Unfortunately you'll meet lots of heartbroken daughters, sons, wives, husbands, partners and even parents on this forum. I lost my father on 26th September last year - I remember how truly lost and wretched I felt in the following weeks and month...
