Re: Hello all, I am Juliana's Dad

Dear Bob, Just saw that you are in fact a writer. Juliana posted 180 times..Imagine all those people like me, who desperate and ignorant of what to expect from this disease, were inspired by, and interested enough in your remarkable daughter to return time and again,( even when our own loved ones had...

Dear Bob, I have not been on this site for a while and logged in to see how Juliana was doing. I am so sorry to hear she has lost her battle. She was an inspiration to all who came looking for answers, and some insight into what to expect with this dreadful disease. With love and best wishes to you ...

Re: Whipples Resection

Hi Lizbeth, I feel that though there is little advice I can give you on your terrible situation. I just want you to know that there are people who care and are concerned for you. Everyone wants their parents approval, and no matter what has happened in the past. Our mum is always our mum. We can all...

Re: Advanced pancreatic cancer - urgent advice please

Hi, Louise, My mum sadly died from this cancer in November, and from what you're describing I would recommend you try to have your sister moved to a hospice. Not to say that this is the end, but the care my mum received made it possible for her to have her catheter removed, her symptoms controlled, ...

Re: M.I.A

Hi, Juliana, You gave me some good advice when my mum was diagnosed. Though sadly she died on 7th November. But she left letters for myself, my sister, and brothers which have given all of us some comfort, and will I am sure continue to do so in the years ahead. I know you said you struggle to write...

Re: mum diagnosed third sibling with pancreatic cancer

HI, again, Sorry I forgot to say that mum had another CT scan a week ago to check on the size of the tumor. Results tomorrow. Also Penny asked what type of cancer, I will ask if they know. My mum loves life, and even today I took her for a drive to have lunch with a friend. We only stayed for an hou...

Re: mum diagnosed third sibling with pancreatic cancer

Hi, Sorry for the confusion, my name is Jackie, and I live just outside London in the UK. Thanks so much to Juliana for all the information, and I will look into as many options as possible, but I think my mum has accepted her lot and does not want to be pulled about too much, (her words). The consu...
