Thank you Jeni. First vaccine was administered on Monday and round 18 of folfirinox was yesterday. I will have the second vaccine ACIT-1 on the 09th Sept and my last chemo on the 29th August. After the 29th I will have my PICC out and then I have a few holidays booked. Hopefully I will get a few mon...

Re: Treatment break/trial

Just a quick update. Just had chemo number 17 and all is going well, all tumours significantly reduced. I am still waiting to start the trail, there have been a few set backs, trial suspended, scans out of date but hopefully I will get my first vaccine on the 12th August and the 2nd 4 weeks later, I...

Treatment break

Hi, I have just completed 13 rounds of folfirinox after being diagnosed with stage 4 PC and liver mets in October 2018. I have been accepted onto a immunotherapy trial and will continue with chemo until the trial is complete, this should involve approximately 4 more sessions. My oncologist has been ...

Re: First folfirinox experience

Hi Kate, I am so pleased that you are keeping well and on the up. I had round 13 today, round 12 was horrid so I took an extra week to recover. What's the reasoning behind the 'no' radiation? Yes Ruth did pass on your number, are you around tomorrow for a chat? Theresa x

Re: First folfirinox experience

So lovely to hear you are doing ok. I had round 13 today and hopefully start a immunotherapy trial in XX next week. What are the reasons for them not wanting to give you radiation,? I am going to take a break after the trial, hopefully the trial will finish at the end of June. Yes, Ruth did pass on ...

Tumour markers

Just having round 11 of floririnox, the last few have been at 80% and my tumour markers have consistently reduced. Today I have learnt that they have risen from 37 to 43, should I start to worry. I have a scan on Saturday but the results won't be ready for 2 weeks. I am well in myself, good appetite...
