Anxiety overwhelming 1 and 1.5 years later
Hello all. I haven’t been on here in a while. My story is that 1.5 years ago I lost my wonderful mum to pc after a 5 year battle and 5 months later we lost my dad to the same deadly disease only 2 weeks after being diagnosed with PC. I’ve really just been surviving. The last 6 years have really just...

Re: Can not believe I’m here again
Thank you all for your kindness and replies. I guess I’m still in shock really. I was only to work 2 days this week and I think I felt I should but as it got closer I knew I couldn’t. I was due to have next week off anyway so I’ll see after that. It’s just I took some time in Jan to help my mum in h...

Re: Can not believe I’m here again
So my poor dad lasted 2 weeks from time of diagnosis. Still in shock from it all. Everything went so fast. Being diagnosed, talking about months to seeing him deteriorate overnight before our eyes and then pass away within 2 weeks of diagnosis. He never got home from hosp and was deemed unfit to tra...

Re: Question re time in end stage
Thanks for all the replies. My Mam continues to decline. What a hard ending to a life so well lived. Pain is managed reasonably well, she is so fearful right now and is limiting her choosing hospice where I feel she would be more comfortable. It's her choice and we will respect that as best we can. ...

Re: Question re time in end stage
Thank you both for your replies. Like you both said it is such a rollercoaster and there are no answers. I've decided as a starting point to take this next week off, more for my own head than anything else and then somehow go back to taking each day at a time and make plans based on how mum is rathe...

Question re time in end stage
Hi. This is my first post on this forum. As I type I know I should be asking this question to my mums team. My mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer almost 5 years ago, since then she had surgery, chemo, recurrence and numerous chemo interventions until autumn 2017 when chemo was no longer an opt...
