Re: The nightmare so far....

When Adrian had an MRI scan in preparation for radiotherapy another 3 tumours were found. They were zapped along with the hole where his first tumour was. I truly hoped that was the last of the brain mets, however, we were devastated when his headaches and confusion returned in July. The MDT told us ...

Re: The nightmare so far....

We were doing so well. 2018 was a marvellous year for which i'll be forever grateful. All Adrian's scans were clear, so I finished work last September. We had a lovely holiday in Jersey and enjoyed Christmas together. Adrian had his routine scan early February and we were due to get the results 4th ...

Re: The nightmare so far....

Adrian had another scan in May, we went for the results this week. It was amazing! Nothing short of a miracle. There are no tumours present! His last chemo was back in January and we were prepared to go back on it, instead we were given this wonderful news, so we'll be making the most of this wonder...

Re: This cruel disease

Never give up hope. My husband was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in his lungs December 2016. Its been a rough ride. Last summer his treatment was nearly withdrawn as he was so desperately ill. We persevered and this week we were given the results of his latest scan.... no sign of any tumours!!!! ...

Re: The nightmare so far....

When we saw his oncologist she said she was amazed by Adrian, she wanted to stop treatment last summer, but he tolerated thee 2nd line treatment far better than the gem...

Re: Don’t know where to start

Hi Christine,

We had this dilemma. Adrian's consultant said there's no point in giving up the cigarettes, but when we spoke to our GP he said it would ease his symptoms if he gave up. Adrian tried and failed but he's cut down a lot.

Sorry I guess this doesn't help much xx

Re: The nightmare so far....

What a mad few weeks we've had. Adrian was admitted to hospital with an infection. He had intravenous antibiotics then was discharged with 3weeks of tablets. The day after he was discharged we had to go for the scan results, we were braced for bad news, but were amazed to be told the tumours in his ...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Hi Mo, Taffy is our very grumpy shih Tzu, and Sweet Pea is our 17 year old demanding male moggie. When he was a kitten the vet said that's a strange name for a tom cat, but I named him before he was sexed, and didn't want to change it. Hope you're having a better day today. Regarding the eye appoint...
