Mo your post says it all and I'm still trying to find my new normal. I've been going through the motions for 9 months but can't find a point in anything, yet. I'm sure we will all have happier days to come and find real enthusiasm for life in the future.

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .
Ouch, that's really tough, Veema. I was stationary too and sat in the car but as least the wagon driver stopped, checked my car and gave me his details. The garage have called today and repairs are going ahead. Imagine having a car that knows when you've had an accident... amazing. Hope your brother...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .
Where does clutter come from? We last moved house 10 years ago and got rid of lots of stuff and here it all is again. I like a bit of clutter though, although I wouldn't want 2000 books to get rid of as I'd start looking through them all and get nowhere. Good idea about Peter's tools. A wagon ran in...

Re: Don’t know where to start
Hi Christine...I agree with Veema. It sounds as if you need more support. This should be put in place by your GP. We had regular visits from the Macmillan nurse from diagnosis. She would ring or call in the beginning and she referred us to Hospice at home as time went on. The support we had was real...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .
Hi Mo you seem to be doing OK adjusting to your new life. That's how I described it to a friend when Allan died...."a strange, new life". Not one we want but we have no choice in the matter. You've done well to keep exercising every day. I was like Snow White at first and cleaned and polished, rearr...

Re: Don’t know where to start
Hi Christine the creon has to be taken whenever your Mum takes food. When she has a meal or a snack she should be taking the creon. My husband worked out himself how many to take with whatever he was having to eat. It was a bit of a balancing act but he took more if he ate more. Advice on how many t...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .
Hi Mo The clothes don't need feeding so leave them until you're ready to face them. I sorted Allan's in 2 phases and both lots were taken by his brother to give to a charity shop over 100 miles away. The last thing I wanted to see was anyone local wearing his clothes. I've kept his fishing jacket an...

Re: Concerned husband
Hello Saxon and I'm sorry that your wife is so poorly. I can't give advise on Folfirinox but others on the forum will be able to talk to you about that. However, my husband was referred to Macmillan as soon as he was diagnosed and the nurse was very good at managing his pain. Oromorph and, at a late...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .
Your posts are never boring, Mo. I don't have a faith and neither did Allan. I sometimes wish I did believe but I find it extremely difficult to fathom and have come to the conclusion that I must be the heathen that my Grandma used to accuse me of being when I didn't want to go to church as a child....

Hello Mo...I love the train analogy. It perfectly describes the awful period that you and Peter are going through. You're in my thoughts and I wish you strength for the next stage of Peter's journey.

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .
Hi Mo...you're allowed to wallow and be a layabout. You've got a mentally draining job to do. Allan used to say to me "stop flying about and come and sit down". I felt that I had to always be doing something to prove that I was looking after him and that everything was as it was before he became ill...
