Re: Life expectancy for Stage IV
Good morning Vasil I am very sorry to hear of your Dad's diagnosis, there is no doubt pancreatic cancer is a horrible, nasty disease. I am going to be brutally honest in my response because I really think you need to prepare yourself. It's very unlikely that your Dad would be able to tolerate endles...

Re: Hair loss with abraxane
Hello Marta So sorry you find yourself on this forum. Good luck with chemo and go kick PC where the sun doesn't shine. My hubby had folfirinox initially which did nothing to his hair but after just 2 sessions for gem/abraxane started to lose it very quickly. I am not sure if abraxane alone causes ha...

Re: Coping with the mental health aspects of all this.
Hello Borobi I am so sorry for your loss. I am also very sorry that this wonderful forum is so quiet nowadays. When my late husband was ill, I had the most amazing support from the forum family members Dianne refers to and almost 5 years on, we are still in contact, even though each and every one of...

Re: My Mum
Of course you can ask! I love to talk about my husband...it keeps his memory alive and that for me is just so important. Long story short, he was put on 12 cycles of Folfirinox which is the alternative to Gemcitibane/Abraxane. I don't know how oncologists decide which regime to start first but I thi...

Re: My Mum
Hello LST Welcome to the forum although I know you don't want to be here. You will get lots of support from both "forum" family and our wonderful specialist nurses who I suggest you give a ring in the morning, just to chat things through. Everyone is different as far as PC is concerned so it's impos...

Dear Keith
Fantastic to hear Kerry is stuffing her face. That for me says it all.
Fingers and toes crossed that her next scan brings equally fantastic results.
I might not post much anymore but I still come on and follow everyone's stories. I just can't help it.
Love Proud Wife x

Re: Concerned husband
Hello Saxon I'm so sorry to hear of the pain your wife is suffering. I don't normally post any more but I always found a Friday evening ahead of a long weekend a very lonely place when my hubby was suffering. Therefore, I'd like to share our experience... Whilst I am no doctor, I'm a little surprise...

Re: Just started Folfirinox
Hi Petal Welcome x My hubby chose to have folfirinox every 3 weeks instead of 2 as he wanted to have quality of life. don't worry about having to wait another week. Use the spare week to build up valuable energy and try to keep your weight stable. As for the beer....cheers. You blinking well deserve...

Hello Cazzza, You are about 8 months ahead of me, I lost my husband June 2016 and it still seems like yesterday. I believe you have these questions going round and round in your head...because you are not able to get the answers from your husband and you know you never will. If you can think back to...
