Re: frustrated
Hi sheena, so glad Steve is settled at last. I know how difficult it is at the moment but you couldn't do more. Roger had a Ferrari coffin and he would have loved it if only he could have seen it, so if Steve wants pink I have no doubt that is possible. Take care and try to stay strong if you can. Sue

Re: frustrated
He sheena, although I don't post much now, I have been following your story and I'm know what you're going through. Roger had always been particular about his appearance and then just didn't want to be bothered with washing - I think they must be so tired that it's just too much. You do a wonderful ...

Re: frustrated
Hi sheena, Roger enjoyed rice puddings or soup and he also liked bananas and custard. Although he had diabetes there are low sugar varieties available. Hope you have some joy with your go next week.

Re: Roger's Story
the good news is that Roger had his stent fitted and they managed to put a stent within his existing stent so no need for an external bag. The hospital then fast tracked him to the local hospice which looked fine and he certainly wasn't ready to go home, but it is not where he needs to be. I see too...

Re: My Dads diagnosis
Hi Alison, so glad your Dad's pain is now better controlled at long last. Everything seems to take an age when you need it quickly. I can understand his mood being low, my Roger is pretty much the same and doesn't seem to be getting any better. Hope you have a better week. Take care.

Re: Roger's Story
This week has been pretty bad. I still can't take it all in but most of the staff at the hospital have been wonderful. I'm there pretty much 12 hours a day as Roger feels pretty vulnerable and just likes to see me there and there is nowhere I'd rather be. He is to have an external drain fitted tomor...

Re: My Dads diagnosis
Hif Alison, I know exactly how you feel because pretty much the same thing happened to us on Saturday. Since then Roger is withdrawn and says very little - he doesn't want visitors either. I know we are aware of the outcome of all this but there are ways and means of being told and in a ward of 4 (j...

Re: Roger's Story
Unfortunately Roger wasn't able to have the ECRP after all. There was a terrible problem at the hospital on Thursday because of getting him to transferred to the hospital doing the procedure and the fact that Roger has diabetes and they wanted him there the night before but didn't have a bed for him...
