After a meeting with a consultant at the hepatology where my mum is right now. Basically told he wouldn't recommend chemo as it would only extend life by 4 weeks. So to talk to palliative care and make plans. Saying this we still have a appointment with oncology but it wasn't today it's next week! W...

Oh we haven't got a oncology appointment today! The consultant is off this week!! It's been 41 days since her disgnosed with pancreatic cancer! After my mum found out she had pancreatic cancer on the 2nd January! The having a dvt in the back of her knee and then had biopsy on the 27th January! The can see it in the tail of pancreas from the ct scan and that's what it is being put on her sick note. I think am going to go with what the consultant has said as my sister said that nurse just briefly looked from her notes. Only time will tell.

Thanks for your msg Cathy Am just glad to be able to msg here really. We have had district nurse come all of sudden with any message to say they where coming but it is reassuring that they have come. Though iam ok doing the injections for the 6 months they have said. We are at just on the first step...

She does have blood clot and has a injection.
Have a scan tomorrow on her legs.
They have said she will probably have to inject for 6 months.
It's just going to make the biopsy of the liver difficult.
Just as my mum was feeling comfortable as the pain had subsided.

Went to see the GP for the first time after being told the news of my mum's PC she has had a swollen foot and I was putting down water retention or the tablets as you do. Doctor referred use to the ambulatory unit so have blood tests and an injection. What am really wanting to is anyone else experie...

Thanks for your reply Leila I will definitely be getting a notebook as that sounds like a good idea. I regret not asking more questions when the consulting told us but when your in shock. Going to see our Gp tomorrow and would like ask questions to him. He may not know much but I don't when this bio...
