Hi Vanessa
My dad is a similar age and was diagnosed early sept.
Like your husband he had to have emergency surgery due to blockage caused by the cancer in his intestines.
He had a great appetite up until the surgery but it’s been terrible since.
I’m not sure if that is normal or some problem with the surgery. Chemo was delayed 2 weeks but he has just had his 3rd round now.

I am very sorry to hear about your Husband's diagnosis, this must be an incredibly anxious time for you all. I do hope that your Husband's imminent procedure goes well and that he is able to start building himself up again in preparation for chemotherapy.

My husband has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer with mets to the Liver. He's only 59 and in all other regards has been very fit and healthy thoughout his life.
We are all so shocked at his diagnosis and most anxious that after almost 3 weeks in hospital, he is now awaiting his stent to be ballooned as it was felt it hasn't opened fully. His bilirubin levels have dropped now as the jaundice has subsided.
He has a small blockage to the stomach which presumably is where the tumour is pressing so is awaiting a small bypass operation. He is nil by mouth at the moment and is being fed by food bags intavenously. He's so tired all the time from being on a low level morphine.
Chemo can't start until all the above issues are sorted.
Feel so scared and worried all the time.
Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
