Sharing your experience could improve care for people with pancreatic cancer

Postby Support Team » Thu Jan 11, 2018 11:54 am

Pancreatic Cancer UK have commissioned Oxford Brookes University and the Picker Institute to conduct a national survey that aims to better understand the support needs and care experiences of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer across the UK.

This will be the first UK-wide opportunity for you as a patient to share the impact the disease has on your quality of life, and how the care and information you receive helps you to manage this.

If you have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, either recently or in the past, this is an opportunity for you to share your experiences of care, what information and support is currently available to you and any specific issues that you have faced.

The survey is vital because not enough is known about the specific care needs of people diagnosed and your views will help Pancreatic Cancer UK to influence and develop support services provided to patients.

How to take part:

You will find the online survey here: https://tinyurl.com/2017pcuk

Certain hospitals are supporting us with the survey and if you are being treated in these centres, staff may hand you a survey pack containing information about the study and inviting you to take part.

To request a paper copy of the survey or to find out more about which hospitals are taking part or about the survey generally, please call 01865 208108 or contact pancreatic.cancer@pickereurope.ac.uk
