tissue bank

Postby Didge » Thu Jan 14, 2016 9:46 pm

You may have seen on the news that the pancreatic cancer tissue bank has launched. I donated samples last November at the pancreatic cancer research fund conference as they also want 'healthy' donors. Not sure if they still want a control group but might be worth asking if you are interested!

Hi Didge,

Yes, I uave read this, though I didn't know they wanted healthy tissue as well. I did think about that.

I would like to donate. If I contacted a cancer specialist hospital, could they take a sample?

I can't post the BBC link as I am not at home but there are certain hospitals which are running it so if you can find the link you could contact them if one is near you xx
