Re: So far so good!

I was so sorry to hear this news. Steve started posting on this site at the same time more or less that I did as my partner had been diagnosed as had some other of my forum friends. Steve was always upbeat and positive and at times we would all share a giggle. I remember one time a few of us partner...

Re: So far so good!

Hi Steve This is my first time on here for a long time. It goes without saying that I am so sorry to hear this news. You must all be devastated. Like everyone else, I do hope that the other hospitals are able to bring some hope and I also really really hope that you manage to plan to do lots of love...

Re: My first chemo

Hi Kaye The chemo seems to affect people differently. My partner never suffered from nausea at all but took anti sickness medication AND steroids as an anti sickness measure. I'm afraid I don't remember the names of either (so not much help) but you could ring the chemo helpline and ask if there is ...

Re: Bad news

Hi Didge, I heard your sad news through London Panpals so you know I have already been in touch. This is my first time on here since so just wanted to add my condolences again to everyone else's. It seems so unfair that you had such a short time with Rob before he was diagnosed but you were an absol...

Re: Wish someone would help him

Hi Leila Your mentioning about missing ringing up the hospital made sense to me. After Jonathan died it wasn't just Jonathan not being here that was gone, but everything that came with him too. Like you with your Dad my life was taken over with caring for him and when someone dies, all of that goes....

Re: Trevor's Story

Hi Sandra I am so very sorry and sad to hear your very sad news. I'm glad to hear that Trevor was comfortable at the end. As with Trevor, my partner also, towards the end was given weeks to live, in fact he had only 4 days so I understand how you must be feeling. If it is any comfort, it does get ea...

Re: Wish someone would help him

Deal Leila I am so so sorry to read your posts and to he pear that you have lost your lovely Dad. You probably will be feeling very numb at the speed in the end, and what you have been through but it sounds like your Dad was at peace and you will always know that you always did absolutely everything...

Re: Fluid build up

The powder is probably movicol or laxido. Jonathan had a similar problem and he had an x-ray and ultra sound (I think) to see if there was a blockage. She needs an abdominal exam as a minimum. And if the fluid is making her uncomfortable then they can drain it - she'd probably need an ultra sound fi...

Re: Wish someone would help him

Hi Leila I am so sorry to catch up today and to read your post about your Dad declining so rapidly. As many of us have already experienced, this disease is so relentless and so great and sweeping your feet from under you. I can't say anything which will make any of this easier although it does sound...

Hi Sandra

I'm sure the sleepiness is due to a mixture of no sleep and the pain killers. Good that it seems under control.

Try get some rest yourself too if you can.

Take care and have fingers crossed for you

Re: Husband Newly Diagnosed and am now in Despair

Hi Kittycat, I am sorry to hear your news. We will all know how you feel. My partner was diagnosed December 2012 with inoperable advanced PC. You can be sure that you will get a lot of good support from the people who post oh here. And as Steve suggests, the support nurses are here during the week a...
