Re: She's gone

Sarah I know how hard you and your mum fought and I'm sending you lots of love during this time. Never have regrets you did what was right for your mum. It's now 9 months since I lost my mum to this vile disease and I can't tell you it gets any easier but the fun times that you shared start to be th...

Re: Life Expectancy?

Hi Leila When my mum was diagnosed this is exactly what I wanted to know although she never asked. My mum lived for 8 months from diagnosis with gemcitibine weekly (which she tolerated well). Mum was well all the way through and actually put on weight because we were making sure she was eating high ...

Re: My hero, lover and best friend gone..

Dear Cathy My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jonathan's story sounds so similar to my mum's at the end where it all happened so fast. I'm glad you had the time with him at the end. As time passes you will really cherish this and it will stay with you forever. Rest in peace Jonath...

Re: A message of thanks of behalf of Linda

Hi Natalie
Your mum was a very brave lady and her love for her family shone through her posts. I lost my mum in august and have also vowed to raise awareness and raise funds to try and find a cure for this vile disease. I check into the forum often as I find it gives me some comfort.
Take care

This time of year

Hi all It's almost 4 months since mum died. I still check in every day and although haven't posted you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Still finding it really hard. I still expect to see her and I still hear her voice, which I don't want to change. It was a year ago Friday that mum had the ct sc...

Re: Pin badges

Hi Kate
Not sure if this helps but we made our own for mum's funeral. We just bought purple ribbon and safety pins and gave them out at the funeral. In the eulogy I explained what they were and asked people to wear them and remember mum.

Re: coping - or just

Thinking of you Karen. My mum passed away 18th August and it still doesn't feel real. Not a day goes by that I don't cry. I did the eulogy at mum's funeral and it did help. We're now still busy with things like probate and sorting the headstone. I think you do just cope and this is a great place to ...
