Re: Ascites

Hi Violet welcome to the forum. Sandra has given you excellent info with regards to phoning our nurses on here as soon as you can , they will explain all this fully to you in such an easy to understand manner. They supported me enormously at a very difficult time.

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Hi Mo ....poor Peter one minute he's up with the brilliant scan results then wham he is laid low again by a nasty infection...the course of PC definitely doesn't run smooth. Mo sometimes when we got encouraging new at the clinic my thought when we left was " ok we are at the top of the rollercoaster...

Re: Hello

Dear Vee I came on to see if there was any posts from you only to find Allen has passed , no matter how we know the inevitable we cannot quite believe that the end will come. I also felt that calm coming over me , I think we take on full responsibility for their survival and try so hard to make them...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Hi Mo just a quick note to say loved your post you somehow bring Peters escapades to life and I can practically picture them in my mind . The tall tales about what he had ate made me chuckle as Pete told the exact same tales lol. Thinking of you both...love and hugs

Hi Jane hoping things are improving for you and that you are feeling a lot better. I know once Pete had the stent fitted he started to feel better quite quickly. Sending love.

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Hi Mo thinking of you and I know that down feeling so well and as you say it goes eventually after a few days then it's onwards and upwards again. It really is a 24/7 life isn't it as there always seemed seemed to be something new to worry about. Try and get some rest as without it then it is harder...

Re: Our story...

Hi Kathryn...Pete was similar with the crying and negative thoughts at one point and the GP prescribed an anti depressant which after a time lifted his mood which then added to his quality of life. I am afraid PC is such an up and down disease that as one issue is under control then another takes it...

Re: 36 yo adv pancr cancer patient treated in France

Hi Stephua I have been following your posts and praying that FF is successful and that as your body gets used to that you get less and less side effects which will enable you to build on your quality of life. Sardinia sounded so good , now to make positive plans for your next break away. I think you...

Hi Veebee I was so sorry to read how poorly Allan has been. I know exactly where you are coming from wanting to constantly be the one caring for him.....I was exactly the same in fact I think that goes for everyone on the forum. I managed up until two days before and my son and daughter were then in...

Re: Our story...

Hi I think that is very common in family of PC sufferers that we try everything available in the hope we can either hold back the inevitable or cure them. My husband passed away in April and there was not a day in the five months since his diagnosis that I didn't try to hold back his progression. Yo...

Re: Worried about my son.

Hi Lisa I hope that your son can work through his feelings with the counselling sessions. Like you I cannot believe that it will be six weeks this Wed since Pete passed and also I am still seeming to think for some crazy reason that he will come back , I know those thoughts are totally irrational bu...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Hi Mo I have been lax at coming on the forum since Pete passed I think to be honest I felt a bit guilty and worried that I was upsetting people and reminding them how awful PC is. However I think that was just an initial feeling and seems to have eased off a bit.it is nice to read over everyone's po...
