Re: Severe distention and tightness

Hi Michaela, I only have experience of my partner with IBS type bloating (he has it really bad) and he finds probiotics like Symprove really useful. You can get them from Amazon and these are well researched by me - there are some types that are pretty useless. To me it is not a far stretch that the...

Re: Can not believe I’m here again

Hey lovely, so sorry about your dad.. there just are no words. I went back to work too soon and tried to plough on. Everyone, including work, family and my GP said I needed to be off but as usual I thought I knew best. I got kicked out of work and went off for 3 months (and I never take a day sickne...

Re: Nano knife for Stage IV PC.

Thanks Diane but I do think everything I said was legal and I did not name neither hospital or doctor. It is clear in my original thread that he stated he was publishing his results and did not do so. It is not something I made up. However, my intention was never to put PCUK in a position that they ...

Re: Battling to get treament

Oh dear and poor you. It can be so frustrating at times but with the stresses on the system it can be a lottery at times. I was going to book to see mama mia - did you rate it as worthy? Stay strong lovely... I always found the "roller coaster" thing a bit silly but then realised it really is an ana...

Re: Nano knife for Stage IV PC.

I just know so much where you are at. Screen print this and give it to him, get my name from PCUK or it is in my thread somewhere. Tell him to sue me for slander... he would not have a leg to stand on. I really wish you all the best and it is why I stay away from here in general... I am not always r...

Re: Nano knife for Stage IV PC.

I am not on here very often but this has really set me thinking as to why we took this route and why it was not the best route. If you look at the NICE approvals - it took a huge fight to make Abraxane available and rightly so that it should be available. It is evidenced that it extends lives a few ...

Re: Nano knife for Stage IV PC.

Hi All Sorry you are going through this terrible illness.. it really is pants. I do though have some info that may help your decision making process. I dealt with Heidelberg and they will not take on stage IV patients as far as I am aware... and trust me when I say I did not take no as an easy answe...

Re: Battling to get treament

I am also not on here much... the same as pw. However.. dealing with nhs and systems is my skill if you look at my thread for dad.. I can help you advocate for yourself quite effectively. Ask the nurses for my e.mail address if you would like sone help. pw mentioned there were people struggling and ...

Re: Today was a hard day

I am so sorry you are going through this. Until you know what the situation is on Monday it is hard to advise on care - I would update us on Monday and in the meantime call the nurses at PCUK. It will all depend on whether she stays in the hospital, goes to hospice or comes home (to your home or her...

Re: Vitamin B12/B6 supplements

Hey Janmac, Any vitamin regime I think would help and not cause your mum any problems. Steroids of some sort could also give a bit of a boost but mum would need to see her Dr for these. Be careful if you get high doses - I think B6 can cause a flush if I recall (if it is in high doses). It is really...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

My lovely Mo... the reality is that this is normal. The wordsmith in all of us (and we know I was a mighty one) just seems to dull over time with our great losses. I never managed to post on my dads thread again and I never realised that would happen... in fact I thought I would carry on with my wor...

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Yes V - it seems to be moving house or cars on the whole. For my mum she had posh paving put out the front. Whatever it takes to get us through. I did not have the cream thing but I had emergency stashes of creon eveywhere... pockets, car, little pots in the cupboard. I even found some just weeks ag...
