Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Heartfelt condolences Mo. You couldn’t have supported Peter better and I hope that thought will bring some comfort.
Loads of love

Thinking of you loads Mo, as you continue your vigil. I hope Peter had a comfortable night and that you managed to grab some sleep.

So pleased to hear that the hospice is wonderful and hoping that you both had a good, restful night.
Sending you and Peter some more e-hugs.

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

Dearest Mo I hope by the time you read this that Peter is resting comfortably in his hospice bed and that you are managing to catch your breath after all the unwelcome excitement of the past few days. Thinking of you both and sending my best wishes for some well-deserved peace and calm. Loads of lov...

Re: The nightmare so far....

Andrea, happy new year wishes to you and Adrian too!

May you have plenty more good news and good days in 2018.

Hubby and I were also blessed with many good days over the holidays. Back in the chemo suite today for another round of Gem/Abrax.

Re: Thanks for sharing your experiences . . .

So sorry to read about all the downs of the past week, it sounds ghastly.

Hoping that the 3 of you got a reasonable night’s sleep last night and that today all is calm in the Mo, Peter and Boo household.

And hats off to you Mo, you’re a real trooper!

Lots of love

Re: Usual waiting times for procedures

Hi Robette In the scheme of things, as you say, your diagnosis is very good. But if I were in your situation I'd also be concerned by the advice you've been offered...I've just done some Googling and found articles from eminent institutions that back up the "over 3 cms" cut-off. I also found a recen...

Dear Fiona
Rest assured, at the very worst you’ve caused minor upset to less than a handful of people here. I suspect most of us who post here regularly have unintentionally caused offence from time to time, I know I have.

Re: Thoughts from the PC frontline

Well, well, our wish was granted...hubby’s neutrophils were too low for chemo this week so no treatment yesterday. Instead we went out for a lovely lunch and felt the whole day like we’d been granted a massive reprieve. We’re now fairly hopeful that going forward he’ll be put on the alternate week r...

Re: A new Forum here?

Dear Dianne Many thanks for your response on the forum and your email to me. It’s good to know that there’s a review planned in the new year and I’m sure that PCUK will come up with solutions that sensibly and sympathetically address issues raised in this thread. I also appreciate that time spent mo...

Re: Thoughts from the PC frontline

Thanks DG and Sandra. Our oncologist is very conservative and always sticks to the prescribed NHS protocols. We've made it very clear to her what we'd prefer but she won't budge. As it is, as soon as I posted here that side-effects were minimal, horrible flu-like symptoms kicked in with a vengeance,...

Re: A new Forum here?

Thanks lovely ladies, for your comments. I think we’re all agreed that, for the unfortunate folk who suffer from serious health anxiety (which is a horrible horrible condition), this site isn’t the best place to hang out. Like Veema, I feel that people should be able to post before they get a diagno...
