Re: Our Journey without chemo

Dear Marmalade, I am so very sorry to read of your lovely Louis' passing. That it was so peaceful is down to your's and Suzie's never ending love and care. I know how hard it's been for you. So sad for you. I haven't been posting lately but I have been following your story. Your love and devotion to...

Re: Our Journey without chemo

Hi Marmalade, good to read that Louis is doing better. Its so good to see your loved one eat and enjoy it isn't it? You never realise until it happens how meaningful the smallest achievements are. If Louis feels better then so will you - that's just how it is. And he's right (they usually are) diets...

Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

Dear PW, thank you for sharing. It does certainly sound as if Hubby was there in spirit, keeping you strong! The sadness and the longing run very deep. Your last paragraph moved me to tears and I know exactly what you mean. I have no words to offer at the moment. I just wanted you to know I am think...

Re: Our Journey without chemo

Hi Marmalade, hope Louis is comfortable and you are keeping well too. I think it was a good idea to get Louis back in his own bed, there is nothing like your own bed. I think of you often in these stressful times.

Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

Hi PW, Its seems as if you are doing a stirling job (as usual). It all sounds brilliant. It is the last thing you can do for him and doing what you know he would appreciate will be a great comfort. Like you, I only knew Stewart wanted cremation, the rest I had to make up as best I could, imagining w...

Re: How much time?

Hi Louise, welcome to the forum that nobody really wants to be a part of. I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. You will find a lot of support on the forum and you will also get the truth. It is a difficult time for you and your family. My husband (64yrs old) was diagnosed in June 2015 with the same p...

Re: Feeling totally lost

Hi Shelda, It sounds as if you you are doing a little better, I do hope so. Its so hard every day. I still cannot start with Stewart's things - I just want to leave everything as it is. I often bury my face in his wardrobes so I can smell him too. I went to the group session - it was so difficult, s...

Re: Totally in awe of my wonderful Husband!

Hi PW, hope you and your lovely son are coping. Being busy does help - I still do it now after 16 weeks. Stewart didn't talk much about his funeral either. We always thought he would get home and we were going to get his chosen funeral director to the house. I only knew he wanted cremation and no re...

Re: Our Journey without chemo

Hi Marmalade, hope Louis is comfortable today and you are able to have some quality time together between "assessments", the professionals don't make it any easier in some cases, do they?
Take care

JEG74, I am so sorry to read of your situation with your mum. It's so hard for you all to see your lovely mum like this knowing there is nothing you can do. Stay strong as a family and support each other and your mum through what is to come. I hope she is comfortable and you are getting all the prof...

You need that time for yourself and your son. Even though you were expecting it, it is a massive, massive shock. Ramble as much as you like my love, rambling to your forum family is fine. Big hugs.
